Well now, I didn’t get very far before some guests took over my room for Christmas.

With Fluff (RIP) Lilly and Lottie installed, all spraying had to be suspended.

Awhile later, after they had returned home with Dau No. 1, work could continue. All I’ve done is the cockpit, mainly tackling the lack of detail. I dry brushed the IP as it had some light raised detail, but realised it wouldn’t do. Hence all I’ve managed to do is tart up a few bits and pieces, giving me the below.

At least with this little lot done, I can close up the front half of the fuselage, and it might start looking like an aircraft.

And all to stuck together. Let’s hope it still fits in the fuselage.

Very good work improving the cockpit. Looks excellent now.
Guinea pigs are wonderful creatures. Many, many years ago my daughter had a couple.

That's 'Jingles' I found him at the side of a road one day some years back, he's been great for wind-ups.

I'm not really a scratch builder, but when you see the detail that Revell (Matchbox) give you, something had to be done.

We've had a succession of them for years. Most come from a rescue place in Stoke on Trent.

Some cracking work Colin. The pit looks dapper.

I ate a Guinea Pig ('Quy' -pronounced Kwee) in Peru. They let them run around the floor until the time comes for them to be cooked - no sentimental attachment from the kids! PS: The 'plane is coming on very well indeed!

One of Patrick O'Brian's Jack Aubrey books goes into quite some detail on the subject if I remember correctly

An old ship mate put a picture of his lunch up on FB once, yes, it was a Guinea Pig, with chips, looked OK to be fair, just a bit bony.

Well, I’m not sure what I’m building at the moment. It looks a bit sci-fi, it must be all that white plastic.

But at least the cockpit fitted without any drama.
