    One night stand.(Nearly.) Airfix 1/72 Bf109E-4

Was having a bit of a tidy up earlier today and stumbled across some of the Airfix kits I got when the wee lad showed a glimmer of interest, and got to thinking back to the time I would buy a kit and just build it in one sitting, maybe two if I had to stop for tea.
So I started this at 7pm tonight and while not complete only have the decals and some detail brush work to do, so about 3½ hours to get to this point.

Using after market decals, or I was planning too, hence the basic paint job with no mottling, but it's not been smooth sailing.
Antenna mast, control stick and pitot tube are getting slowly digested by the carpet monster.
And I snapped one of the stays on a horizontal stab when removing the masking.
Also some of the canopy masking has lifted a touch, I'll discover the damage on removal.
I may go back to the box decals and practice mottling which will be required.

I'm happy with the paint, the build is a disaster, these are the kits pitched at beginners.....no wonder they end up covered in glue marks......
