Well, this is certainly something different for you Chris, I will follow along with interest, especially as you plan on some electrics too.

Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

HI Garry yes im fed up with no model to build as i cant say tiger is finished till i can try her in new yr so months to wait so i thought get out one of them planes an the tomcat was up front first an its a big kit an lots of bits an i want to go ott on it with lights an as i built a small 1/48 th tomcat an that looks good all kit up so the big one should look even better but at the moment i havnt a clue on how to start the build as the last tomcat build was a bout 10 yrs ago an if i remember rightly i built it in two parts done all the top an then the bottom half an that i think is how i will do this big one but still thinkin on it an doin some plannin
hope you an your wife are ok

Nav light were green and red, all beit a bluish green which does appear blue in some photos.

Have you started yet? Desperate to see some progress.
If the kit is a good fit (as the old Tamiya aren't) building in sections would make your life a lot easier as once wings fitted you have to spray and wait to dry and then move and respray the bit you've
missed, which there always is even when they are open you get a small wedge on the leading edge of the hinge.
Also if you keep nose section out it is easier to spray the inside external edge (side next to fuselage) of the air intake ducting.

Looking forward to seeing this one. Have you bought a kit for lighting or is it DIY?
