Lee Drennen’s 1/72 Academy P-51B Mustang Bud Anderson Tribute Build. “ A trip to Berlin”

I thought I would do a Tribute Build for one of the most Famous U.S. Fighter Pilots after his passing last week.
Clarence Emil "Bud" Anderson was an officer in the United States Air Force and a triple ace of World War II. During the war he was the highest scoring flying ace in his P-51 Mustang squadron.This particular P-51B model kit is based on the one that he flew to Berlin Germany after he received it and on D-Day. This P-51B was old Crow4 I’ll be building it with out the invasion strips just like it was on May 8 1944 on his trip to Berlin Germany.

What a great idea Lee. Looks a nice, straightforward kit. Nice box art and should build into an eyecatching model.

Alas I don't. It's a really nice kit that didn't give me any issues to speak of, but I totally fluffed the painting (tried to do the NMF with AK's True metal pastes) and binned it. I'll have to get another.
