A slight step forward in my build.
Decals are done. Generally very well behaved. They are quite 'stretchy' which was useful covering some of the bigger detail.

And the engine, all the components slightly weathered.

Nope NOPE I am definitely NOT getting one of these. No no no...

But it's so pretty. And shiny

          Shiny silver aeroplanes... My precious...

Seriously, though, I've been finding the new Airfix transfers of a very high standard

Totally agree, they were cartograph, but the decal sheet doesn’t have a name on it now.

I’m happy to report it’s behaving like a new tool kit now.

Don’t you love it when a household object makes things just that bit easier. Washers used for masking the wheels.

Looking absolutely gorgeous colin , i reckon a lot more people than just chris will be swayed into buying this one ( trying to resist myself ! )
Good to see you highlighting any little niggles - I always try to show any problems in a build too , always useful for anyone else building the same kit later.

It’s now a bi-plane. Fitting the upper wing presented no real drama, probably helped by the lower interplane struts have a very positive location point.

Now of course, the real fun starts. Rigging.
