Good progress. Neat rescribing. Always a bit awkward rescribing over curves. Is your rivet tool one of those little wheel things with spikes?
Clever idea with the clear plastic.
Lovely work done Andy. Liked the idea of the clear plastic. Masking the turret glazing is something I normally don't look forward to but would like to see how you do it and perhaps learn an easier method.

I ended up brush painting the exterior of the ball turret as it seemed much easier than masking & spraying.
Here they are grouped together, assembled where I could. Luckily only two clear parts needed masking before the airbrush came out:
After spraying and a bit of detail brush work the turrets were put together, frames brush painted where required and a slightly wonky decal added to one of them:
A little bit rough in places but given their size, good enough for me :smiling3:
I didn't have a brushable colour to match the Mr Color interior green so mixed something up from AK Medium Olive Green and Neutral Grey. Pretty good match if I say so myself.
Thanks Jim, I was certain I'd get gluey finger prints on the transparencies somewhere, but seem to have avoided it.
I've just realised a boo-boo though, painting some of the exterior parts of the front and rear turrets in interior green instead of OD. Oh well, looks like I'm masking them up after all :smiling5:
It's taken me a while but the airframe is now masked up ready for primer. Not my best work but 1/72 glazing where pretty much every panel is a different size meant cutting each piece individually.
Hi Andy
This liberator is going to be a cracker. I love the work on the interior, the gun turrets and all the lead shot you’ve managed to squirrel away in all the nooks and crannies To prevent it being a ‘tail-sitter’!
Looking forward to seeing the B24 getting some paint applied.
All the best
Paul
Thanks very much guys, it's great to have you all along and I'm glad you're liking it so far.
Another option that I didn't mention is the bomb bay. The doors can be posed closed, or there are separate parts to show them open. I'm going for that, which means extra time needs spending in there. Not least the 8 bombs needing 3 decals and two yellow stripes each.
I'll save that job for a bit later on, and instead aim to get some paint on over the weekend.
