An interesting kit this one. I've not seen the yellow flashes before, they make the model stand out from the crowd a bit.

Thanks for all the pictures, great model. One of the best things about a Stuka model, you don't have to decide whether you want the undercarriage up or down!!

Thank you . . . I think Academy done very good job in this model , it cost 8€ and it´s best money/value in this scale . I have couple D and B -Stukas Fujimi boxes waiting and both cost 10€ each , then i have Special Hobby A-Stuka which cost 20€ , but there´s photoetched parts with it . Those landing gears also gives the Stuka balanced look .

          Decals and washing

So many mistakes done . . . again :sadcry:. . . upper green color is too dark , i should add white about 30% , now there´s only 7-10% . Well , i try to use MIG-pigments to fix that . Now it´s sunday and i can´t get anywhere those MIG-product´s , so that have to wait bit longer .

Academy´s decals were wrong size in the fuselage , i put those anyway . I wash whole model terpentin and Marie´s oil color raw umber and yellow ochre mixture .

Maybe next Stuka is closer real one then this one , feels like wanna do :crash:

I wouldn't worry, it still looks good and that wash, especially underneath works really well.

I've been waiting for you to remove the masking on the canopy for some time now!

Have to keep those mask´s little awhile longer , plane still missing that mattvarnish . Have to wash upperside again , put some heavy exhaust fumes , then mattvarnish and masking tapes off .

I think this looks really good. The huge canopy does it justice and the weathering is just right. I agree it needs a matt finish as a final touch and you should be very proud of your model.

Thanks for sharing the build process with us as well, I've enjoyed watching this.

Thank you , i add Microscale micro flat finish , but it´s still looks too shiny , i think i´ll put my humbrol flat on it and see if that change anything .

                      Some finishing progress

Wire is done , i use Fireline .06mm ice fishing line and paint it black . Then i try to do some dioramabase , don´t know how this will work , but try it anyway .

I have Preiser 1/72:nd scale Luftwaffe figures , let´s see how those will work in this base .

                        Vallejo mattvarnish

I finally got that Vallejo mattvarnish and it´s make huge difference the model finishing . Again i broke antenna and wire , so have to fix those . I put few figures , just to see how it will look , still have to work a lot before those are ready .

I agree, a big difference. Now it looks superb. Great job and an interesting version of a classic airframe. Put a bit of time and care into the figures it really is worth it in the long run.

I remember as a youngster my 1/72nd figures got a blob of "flesh" on the face and an olive green jump suit with black boots. I was quite pleased as well in those days. Now I try a bit of shading, dry brushing, washes etc and find myself surprised at what you can get into 1/72nd figures. It does depend on the quality of the detail though and really good castings such as Heckler and Goros do make a big difference.

Thank you , i think that Vallejo is my future varnish . These are the first figure´s ever , what i paint , so there´s some learning ahead . I will try to do my best and use lot´s of hour´s to get the best result .

Finally finished , fix the antenna wire , paint the Rudel´s figure and finish the base . I´m not so happy about the figure , dry brushing didn´t go so good at all , need more practise .
