And now guys the finished hatches

As you can see guys, the motoer mounts were too long and had to be machined to the correct length. Qnce the cowls were in place it was easy to find the adjustment measurement.

Lets make a little things interesting, lets add some paint guys, This will be the base coat for all of the panel lines and rivits. The white primer has been added and sanded already, all the high and low spots are taken care of and then its onto details.

Hi Trey, thanks. i have no idea yet on the weight, i know at this stage that its not as heavy as the P47 i built last year. I would say that it should be lighter than intended due to the replacement of the engines with brushless motors, howvever, the batteries are quire heavy within them selves. I have over rated the power plant but that will have no compensation for fast incoming landing.

i intend to fly this one a couple of times then it goes for sale as i will need the room for the SE5a build i have scheduled next.

Andy, i have been following this for last few days and am awestruck at the detail and skill that has gone into this project, its making me want to learn to build and fly model planes. I can't believe your selling it after all your hard work.

                  Regards

                  Darren

                    Hi Darren,

Thanks for your comments. It is fun building and being able to fly, however, it does take a long time to complete such a project. This will have taken me around 12 months by the time i have finished it. Did you see my first build the P47 Thunderbolt?.

                    Cheers

                    Andy

Now we have a blank canvas its time to add some panel and rivit lines. Having taken the free veiw from the Tamia kit box and blown it up to A1 size... i could work out the scale by dividing the drawing by the size of the model and then multiplying the draw measurements by the difference if you know what i mean. Anyway here is the result.

Andy, just read through your P47 build, totally awesome, i was glued to the screen for a couple of hours gobsmacked, i'm dead envious of the workshop and tools, showed my girlfriend and all she did was tut at the cold undrunk cups of tea she made while i read your thread. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see how this one looks when finished

Here we go guys. The tapes are applied in two layers to obtain the effect of panel thicknes. You will see tweo types of panels, but joint and overlapping in progress.

                            Cheers

Thanks bud, the working platform realy is a great thing... it also dismantles to nothing and is very adaptable. Well i just put on the last of the rivits and will soon be ready for some more paint.

                                Thanks again
