Just logged on guys, was buisy yesterday. You guys are really too kind. Thank you for your much appreciated comments Ron, Jonh & Ron H. Im sure you guys are just as good if not better.
Well, the first of the interior detail is finished, 3 more to go. As usual i am never happy with a moulded canopy and always add my own detail to add that better scale look. Below is the process and the finished product. Im not happy about the glue, i have tried many now and nothing sticks styrene to the canopy fast, i have found that thick Zap is the only one, if you guys have any tips i would be happy for your expert guidance. Hope you enjoy this latest upload.
Thanks for your kind words. I havent thought much of the next one yet, i also have to think about space to. If i build another as i would like to, something must go up for sale. Either the Thunderbolt or the Mitchell. I would like to keep both... cant happen though im afraid.
What would you like to see next?. Perhaps all of the gang could take a vote.
I would like to know where you put them Andy, i'm having trouble finding the space for 1/48 scale models, let alone 1/6 or 1/4 scale. I'd love to see you build the B-29 Superfortress but, i think that will be pushing it a little for space lol.
You are right mate, space is getting a little tight now. I love your suggestion. Keep them comming guys i will list them all and pic the most popular for my next project. It will be nice to build something you guys really want to see.
Now we move onto the flight control panel. The first picture you see is the part supplied with the kit, as is the case with all of these parts, they look prety naff and would be a crime to even consider installing into the kit. As usual i have made my own parts for this and it will be the norm for this and any other kit i build. The dash is made up of 4 peices and is real fiddley as it is so small. Not having any transfers provided for the clocks i decided to scratch the detail into the black paint just to give some definition. Hope you guys like these.
great work as usual, andy.Keep it up. On the subject of what to do next, im really into 30's racing aircraft lately,so i think a geebee r1 or a caudron 450 would look wicked as a rc plane ,and i know theres a kit of the geebee in about 1/6 ive seen it on youtube! cheers tony
