How do Andy, nice to have you back with use mate, hope all is well. I know what you mean about computer games (Call of Duty is my vice), nothing gets done and you lose all track of time.

        Have fun, John

Now onto the nacell construction, this was a little tricky and had to be done by planking, These 2 guys took a hell of a long time to construct, a lot of sanding and shaping was involved.

Great to see you back here and what amazing progress you are making. I'm looking forward to seeing this one,I'm sure I speak for all the plastic bashers when I say it's a real treat to follow your builds.

                  Cheers

                  Steve

The nacells were to be built in two halves, the lower and the upper, all of the upper was in a sort of strip and block form and had to be shaped.

Thanks Steve, appreciate your comments. I doubt i could do such a good job as you guys with the plastic kits though, each to his own i guess. I have made a point of buying plastic kits for every model i build. God knows where i would put them when i build them, Ting Ting would moan like crazy if i hung them up in the house. lol.

I now have a P47 Kit, B25 kit, Tiger moth kit and a SE5a kit is on the way. I find these kits are great for obtaining information and scale detail from, especially the three veiws you get with them. I take the three veiws to work and blow them up on the plotter to A1 size, fantastic reference for rivit lined, panels etc.

                            Looking very good so far!

I build the odd plank on frame boat and as you said its not as hard as it looks but yes its very easy to over sand a nice soft bit of wood!!!

Looking forwards to the next installments.

Now came the time to make some of them fancy inspection hatches and the covers for the Battery packs behind the motors. None of these are in the kit so you have to make your own. I found that this kit would be a complete nightmare for the beginner, i guess as this is my second scale build im not a beginner anymore. Well perhaps after a few more builds eh.

Thanks Ian. Planking is ok if you are used to it, as normal this is my first attempt. Was a little worrying i must say.
