I've never built one, but do like the look of it. Daughter No1 has a thing for helicopters, she twisted my arm and I bought her a couple at the Cosford show.

my only tip ...... Leave the under-carriage struts off till the very, very last moment before painting and finishing, they break even if you look at them wrong

My remedy was standard garden wire and slithers of card to scratch build a couple of new ones.

Thanks Colin. Normally now, after mishaps on "every" model breaking undercarts build a protective scaffold of sprue or tape sponge on the sides. On the Wellington just finished they provided metal legs made things simple pity they do not all do that. But broke every gun barrel 8 of them.

Talking of under carridges the ones on that kit are not the Wessex ones they are the American versions ones. No one will know if you dont tell them... :-/

Been looking at this kit for a while and will probably end up buying it now.

From what i've seen, the difference is on the lower braces, (the single upper brace to the mid fuse section seems common) there's only one thicker lower brace/axle on most i've seen (some differences in shape and structure too) where as on your model there's a twin "V" lower brace.

                    i think thats right ......

Thanks Colin I shall do a bit of investigation & see if I can amend the model without wrecking it.

Progressing well & really enjoying building this so far. My ninth model & so far this is the best fitting. Dry fitted the fuselage & it fits like hide hand made gloves. Slight pity there is not more detail in the main cabin especially as the large sliding door can be left open. Suppose I could have put a bit of hand made stuff in there but the external bits beckon on my patience. May put a bit of gear on the floor at the end.

Put in the bit about the tracing paper. Just a hunch that you could fit & tape things for easy fitting together & glueing. It worked & hardly any adhesion to the tracing paper which was easily released with a Morton blade.
