My next project - 1/48 scale

Just started this baby on Sunday night. Answers on a postcard, only 1 clue - It's an aircraft and it's 1/48 (ok that's 2 clues then haha).

1st off - the kit part vs the Legends productions resin offering: -

Bonus point for stating which is which:no1b: dear oh dear I am funny at times eh!!

And the cockpit floor / walls: -

It's a MkII Ford Escort Mexico isn't it? I recognise those rally spec seats

The cockpit part looks Jet fighter-ish? Not enough up on models to even guess which, lets have some more clues please

Nice one, I've bodged a 48 scale Escort bucket seat into this thing lol!

Joking aside, jet fighter is correct. A very prominent one in the early 50s, saw a lot of use....

I spotted part of a jet on the sprues behind the cockpit floor picture so could it be a Gloster Meteor?

I would reckon on either a Sabre or a Mig....and could well of been widely used in such conflicts as the Korean War. Im going to take a pluck at the Mig outta the two.

Haha I think it was a pretty decent punt Martin!! Anyway now the illegal gambli.... I mean, fun part's over it's back to work

IP, a bit rough close up but will do the job lookin through the glass

Seat nearly done. The head rest will need another coat, buckles then black stripes on ejector handles

Tub, with random switches, awaiting control column and throttle handle

Cheers Martin, I'm thinking it's a bit toooooo colourful but I guess it will fade under another layer of wash.
