As a matter of fact it does, but It might very well be the barrel distortion caused by the camera. You know, when you take a close shot even from a slight angle and the straight lines seem to bend? On the other hand if you had that warpage problem in the lower cowling, who knows? (I have a Spitfire that I can swear that the vertical tail is leaning to one side even though I've measured 100 times!)

And that wasn't very helpful by the way. Sorry.

No worries, actually you've confirmed my suspicion that it is infact not straight! Believe me I'm completely over it, although it will look worse if I set both stabilisers correct.

        Cheers

Steve i think you have done a great job on this mate, and you have got that front end to line up well enough considering, you aint gonna get this perfect so just do the best you can.

Also just think Fenlander has got all this to come yet, maybe we should keep the samaritans phone number handy.

Thanks for the encouragement,I need it! I've just stuck the rudder on and of course its split horizontally. Why? I've got to fill that now, aswell as the bit of "coping" infront of the windscreen, the underside of the stabiliser/fuselage joints, around the radiators under the wings and a load of things I haven't noticed yet .... Aaaaaargh.

I've actually nearly finished a tube of Tamiya filler that was about 1/3 full having already been used on at least five previous models, probably more and got through a fair bit of MrSurfacer.

I'm really hoping to get the thing primed tomorrow.

            Cheers

Honestly Ron,the chance to do a bit of light reading in the Bf109E handbook was welcome relief.

                Cheers

Steve, I suspect, when you're finished, you will be really happy / satisfied with your result. If there is some strange equation stating something like "effort in = final result", it's going to be great.

                  Regards

                  Colin M......

Well I've used just about all of this.

But I've finally got the model primed. I can't say I'm 100% happy with it but then who ever is!

I'll try and get some camouflage on tomorrow.

                    Cheers

Nice work Steve. Your wing panels fit better than mine, got quite a gap around one of them. Look forward to seeing the paintwork. What are you using?

Those panels weren't too bad,I had to thin them a little bit I think.

Paint will be Xtracrylix RAF colours. I've done the underside in Medium Sea Grey this morning.

Hope to get the rest on by close of play tomorrow.

                        Cheers

                            Oh that looks good.

Should look the beans once you have painted her.

Looking good Steve, you have done a great job of filling and sanding those joins. Look forward to seeing it with some more paint on it.
