well got a bit of a start. Had to mix paint to try and match colour of the pre-painted PE, not too bad.

I've done a little PE before but that was a small sprue which came with the kit, this is a different kettle of fish altogether.

I have to file off existing detail to make the PE fit and damn, some of this stuff is tiny, so small in fact that I'm not going to attempt it all.

I need to 'tool up' for this, magnifiers, precise tweezers and I'm about to look in the shop for one of those benders.

Pics are of unfinished parts, way to go yet, great fun. M

I think I'll call this just about done, maybe a final wash.

The PE is pretty difficult for me, very tiny and prone to 'ping' off into the ether, enjoying though. M

I think I'm just about ready to close this fuselage up, the side windows are fitted from outside.

Really enjoyed the photo etch, there's a learning curve here for me.

Not too happy with the camera (the big black box in the rear office) but not sure what to do with it. M

now that looks very good - it will also still be quite visible once all closed up as the canopy is nice and big ...... coming along very nicely ....cheers

Only just caught up on this one Michael, there's some great detail work going on in that office. I don't know how you do it at that scale it's so small. Nice lap belts by the way.

Looking good. I was about to sympathise with your PE fun. Then I realised it's 1:48 - try a go at 1:72 PE - that does make you cross eyed ! I vowed never to use 1:72 PE again, well when I say never........................

                              Thanks guys.

Colin I don't know about PE in 1/72, this stuff is small enough for me.

I've been using thin superglue to fix the stuff, what do you guys use? I saw someone on 'you tube' using a strange type of gum adhesive but it was in Japanese or perhaps Korean so don't know what it was.

I could see myself trying to build something with lots of after market stuff, would be fun to find a aircraft kit in 1/48 which had loads of add-ons available, any suggestions? M
