    1/72 Italeri C-47 thrown together

Had nothing to do for a few hours at work so took this down and threw it together. It's not pretty as there are loads of mistakes and you can see join lines but i wanted to see if it was just a one off when i built the same kit last time and had loads of fitting problems and clear parts snapping easily. Well unfortunetly it wasn't. The cockpit glass snapped again and the engines are not a good fit. Still i haven't one in my cabinet so this will do for now Will add the black strips tomorrow sometime

I built this kit sometime in the early 90's.I remember the flight deck window transparency snapping as well.I made a replacement out of some clear sheet I had to hand.I thought it was just me being clumsy.Maybe not.

Made an attempt at the fuse invasion stripes. Make a mess up of the rear white band but that can be rescued later if i can be bothered. Gotta love things in invasion stripes though

C 47, DC 3 etc was, and will always be a good looking plane. I haven't built one of these in years, so it will be great to see one finished.
