I think looking ahead in the instructions should be done. As I didn't and did a lot of work for nothing with the intakes and exhausts hey ho. any way as I havn't posted much lately I thought it time I put a few pics up the ainting is all but done. Not sure about the flaking though. I was after making it look like it had been in theatre for some time. The base is what it will finish on.

Coming along nicely Terry. Nice base paint colour work, and the exhausts and intakes, whilst being largely hidden, at least you know yourself they are done to a high standard.

Thanks Joe it won't be to much longer before it takes it's place on the shelf. I have a few figures to go on the base as well. I did try sourcing some American figures to go with it but have had to use the Airfix British military figures.

Thanks Francesco I am quite pleased with it but wonder if the paint chipping looks to much

I have now painted the the tires and intakes and will finish up with the rest of the matt black this week. The white identity stripes have also been added on the tail boom.

Chipping looks ok, but for the dimensions I can't comment. The best would be to compare with a pic of the real one.

With the rotor heads painted it is time to start detailing up. I have done the rear one tonight and the piping now just needs painting. On the main rotor head there is quite a few pipes the smaller ones I may have o leave of but will see how it goes.

all the rotor plumming is in place and painted. The main rotor head was drilled and the piping put in. The piping was made with a combination of wire and sutcher thread kindly given to me by the surgeon. The tail rotor was only dry fitted to see how it looked when mounted before the tubes were painted. The next step of the build I think will be the decaling around the tail boom so I can mount the rear rotor assembly.
