Progress from yesterday and this morning. Yesterday I sprayed the cockpit framework RLM 2 here's a dry fit with the floor pan. I thought the ejector pin marks on the seats wouldn't be visible once the seat pads were on, but they are, so will have sort that one out. The 8 cylinder inverted engine is well detailed with individual cylinders and pushrods. A coat of aluminium and a wash has been added I will add some ignition leads to the rails using some lead wire as I hope to leave the engine cowlings off.

        Thanks Joe

A small update the cylinder heads are on and were pre drilled to take the ignition wires. Wires are now in situ and attached to their respective rails. Next up will be to fit the engine mountings and fire wall.

          Looking good so far...

There's plenty of scope for detailing that engine, will it be visible on completion Vaughan?

Andy I've just tried a dry fit in the fuselage and there's not much to see apart from 3 cylinders each side but it's still worth putting the work in. So maybe one side open the other closed.

That'll be nice! You keep hiding all these wonderful engines you do behind cowlings and panels. We never get to see them on the finished 'planes.

                        Thanks Tony and Francesco

I've been quietly working on this one over the last week and here's where I'm up to.

The seats are complete with the addition of some scratch built seat belts from tamiya Tape and wire. They are both attached to the floor pan as is the joystick and the foot plates, they too have toe straps made from Tamiya tape. The back wall has been added and spare magazines for the rear facing machine-gun. I've also added the finishing touches to the fuselage sidewalls.

Next up will be to attach the internal framework.

                                Thanks gents

Yesterday afternoon I fitted the internal framework and then offered it up to the side wall(as a dry fit). All seems to fit ok. Then another dry fit with the two fuselage halves, engine and prop and to finish off I popped the canopy in place. That is going to be one big greenhouse.
