Well its been a few days since my last post but i assure you i have been hard at it. I have decided to move onto the under carriage next and have made some progress. Cladding this will be a bit of a trick task i fear. First job was to put together the 10 Gage steel frame. As you will see everything is bound together with fuse wire and then soldered for extra strength.

The next job is to clad these struts and as is the case with this model these are parts that aren't included... so it was off to the DIY store and pick up some pine to do the job. I say Pine as it is easier to work with than hard wood. I will show you later how i close grain it so that it looks like hard wood as it should be. The wood itself is wider than required and has to be cut, shaped and sanded to the correct form.
I sketched out a rough guide from info i got in mags etc.
