Well I will raise a glass and say "to the Duchess".Ian M
Thank you Ian. and thank you all to everyone who has followed me on this journey so far and for all your kind words and praise. Mom would be so proud if she was here.
Thanks guys for your kind words, i really appreciate them. Sorry for the delay in responding, my PC crashed a few days ago and its with the menders as we speak. I have managed to dig out this laptop but had to do some work on it as it was running very slow and was stashed away for 18 months for that reason. I took it to work and formated it. Took of Vista and installed XP. Works a treat now. I have some more pics for you, i wil load them tomorrow.
Next biggie is to make the two spats that cover the under carriage legs at the base, i know normally that spats cover the wheels but in this case they cover the leg base. Nothing in the kit for this as you would expect so they had to be made.
First job was to make a mould... usual task of taking a block of balsa and carving into shape.
Fabulous work on the SE5a as always. It is a very complex and challenging build but you are doing an outstanding job of it. Here's to your mum and all the very best with this very big build.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this model finished, I think it will be a big day on the forum.
Andy , The Old Dutch sure would be proud, you're doing a masterful job! I'm coming up on the anniversary of losing my Dad and its always a rough time, hang in there Buddy! I too raise my glass in salute, cheers Trey
excellent work on the fibre-glass Andy, made a few unique bits myself and the prep work has to be absolutely spot on or you notice it in the finished item ... as i've found out a few times.

Thanks Trey. Time is a great healer and we will always have our memories, a salute to both our lost but not forgotten loved ones.

Thanks mate for your kind words, again i amaze myself... never made any parts of this size and shape before, in fact it is only the second time i have created a mold. Pretty pleased with the outcome.
