Well i finally got these Spat thingies done and fitted. Think they came out looking real good. What do you guys think?.

Next job is the wheels, i made a start. Covering is Solatex. The inside will be DC10 but the outside will be a deep Red. You will notice i have cut the holes for the valve ready to fit in place.

Thanks Trey, having looked at the pics of the wheels i think im going to pick out those spokes with some steel paint and drop a little wash on the rims to tone them down a little. It was an enjoyable afternoon finishing them spats off while watching the battle of Britain in the workshop.

          Cheers

A little more progress here guys, doesn't seem much but i have been at it at the usual rate. Painting adding the wash and fuel proofing over and over. I hate slow progress.

Now painting the lower mid wing section.

It might seem slow to you Andy but every time I check in you've moved the project along handsomely. It's really looking good now. It's the details like your wheels that make a great model in any scale.

              All the best

Thanks Steve. Im happy with the final result and i think the Red with a dirty wash really looks the part.

                Cheers

Thank you Ian. Hoping it will move along a little quicker now. Might tackle those tricky exhausts next.

Well i finally finished the under carriage. I added the cross brace tensioners that i made from the trusty styrene and the bullet in the middle that clamps the brace wires.

I also started the wiring. I used 5 min epoxy to tack it out of the way and to stop the cables rubbing when ticking over.

With these complete i have decided to start on the tricky exhausts, as usual the monstrosity that was supplied with the kit has been put in the round filing cabinet.

I didn't have anything of the diameter i was looking for so i cut some styrene and laminated it with paper and thin ZAP.

                          Cheers
