1/72 Airfix Vampire - SA Air Force

    Hi all,

As part of a commission of 5 South African Air Force (SAAF) aircraft, I've started work on the sweet little Airfix Vampire T.11.

Humbrol Orange followed by Alclad Aluminium

The model has now been sealed with a satin coat, awaiting my SAAF decals to arrive.

    Hope you all like it.

That's really nice Quintin, you've got very good paintwork on that little one.

The lager bottle is an essential extra!

    Cheers

Thanks guys. I must say it's a very nice little kit and everything falls into place nicely.

Now I'm just waiting for my SAAF decals to arrive.

Will keep the progress pics coming.

                Regards,

                Quintin

                      Howzit Q? Looking lakka man!

Where did you order your decals from? I am looking for a supplier of SAAF decals , but the last few ones I got from a local maker let me down with the print quality :-(

What other aeries you building of the SAAF?

I am busy with a 1/72 Canadair Sabre in SAAF Cammo.

                        Hey Theuns,

I ordered them from Zane Jacobs from MAV Decals in PE (www.mavdecals.co.za).

I'm expecting them this week, will report back on the print quality for you.

                            Hey Q

If you are in Joburg, why not come join us at the War Meseum for IMS meetings? Last Saturday of the month from about 13h00.

We are hosing the IPMS Nationals on 19 July and I am entering a few things.........not in the faintest hope of placing, just for fun.

PM me and I will send you my cell #
