That's looking really nice John. This is a kit I've wanted for a long time, the F-86 being one of my all-time favourite aircraft. Are you going to highlight some panels with different metallic finishes?

Sorry about the slow progress on my builds but my dad as been admitted to hospital the past 3 wks and all my spare time goes on visiting him but do have the odd hour here and there at the bench which is great as I find it very relaxing. But I now have 2 wks off from work so things should start moving along a bit quicker hopefully cheers johnComment

Disaster strikes after spraying with alclad and leaving to cure and clear coated I then masked off the fuselage wings etc to spray random panels on removal of tamiya tape and normal decorators masking tape in parts the alclad was lifted in places and now looks rather messed up. I could now strip it down and redo it but will carry on regardless and try to make it look like it's seen plenty of action which is a shame because I was going for a nice pristine look.I will now have to do another plane in bmf just to prove to myself I can get the look I wanted on this one. Having done a bit of research I now know that it was probably my fault that this happened but mainly due to my inexperience with alclad although I have used it before but only in small amounts . But it as been a good learning curve) so I wll be able to take something away from this build and there a nice space at the back of my top shelf for this sabre DOGThanks John

Sorry to hear that John, I've not used Alclad yet but I've heard the learning curve is fraught with pitfalls.
Better luck with your next BMF!Comment
