    1/72 TF141 Mil Mi-28 Havoc

This is a DML Mi-28 Havoc in 1/72nd scale, a very old mold I guess, I "adopted" it from my a senior last year. The decals turn yellowish and I've already tried the legendary sun therapy on it but still helpless on the decals. So I will design and print my own decal for this like my previous CH-46D.

Another TF141 themed aircraft (yea I'm a big fans of MW series)

I will apply Su-30 camo on this Havoc, I will use Gunze color for that: Gunze 115 RLM65 Light Blue, Gunze 323 Light blue and Gunze 34 Sky Blue.

The decals. Printed in Japan, year 1990. Turn yellow, not sure still can be use or not.

    But I got this.

Some visual and decal placement before start the job, well it's my style of working.

Sometimes gundam parts can be use on military too, for some small details, like this one.

    It's all about SANDING, lads.

I use a very very thin wire to make those handlers, dig some holes and plant it.

Replaced the gun barrel with 1.3mm copper rod.

Cockpit. Gunze 335 Medium Sea Gray for dark parts and Gaia 202 Olive Green for those seats.

      Chin-mounted 30 mm Shipunov 2A42 autocannon.

      Painted with Sunin7 020 Gun Metal & Sunin7 S60 LightSteel Chrome.

FYI the Sunin7 is a Chinese-made hobby paint.

All weapons loaded. Time for canopy and pilots.

Canopy masking is much easier than I thought! Time for minor tinting with Gunze 48 ClearYellow.

Painted those parts and get ready for fuselage painting.

      Primed, the fuselage.

This Mil Mi-28 will be in three colors camo - Gunze 115: RLM65 Light Blue, Gunze 323: Light Blue and Gunze 34: Sky Blue.

First layer color done, tired like cow. Gunze 115 RLM65 Light Blue.

Masked with blu-tack and some masking tapes.

Gunze 323 - Light Blue done.

      That's all for now, cheers!

Hey guys, I'm back on track again. I masked with blu-tack and masking tape, again yeah proceed to the 3rd color: Gunze 34 - Sky BLUE. This is how it looks like:

            Done decals application:

Panel washing and minor weathering, included paint chipping, minor rusty and filtering:

Washes and weathering really make some different.

I will share the finished product in Completed Helicopter thread.

            Cheers!
