1/72 Allouette 3

Here is the engine for my 1/72 Heller Allo 3
I dressed it up with some copper wire and stretched sprue for the lines and electrical connectors.
Painted with Humbrol silver, alclad burnt iron and duraluminium.

The fit of the clear bits was really poor, loads of filling and sanding needed.

Excellent stuff theuns, a bit of proper modelling! All too often these older kits are not considered by most modellers as they have been spoilt with the latest offerings that dont have any problens with fit etc when in fact with a bit of patience and skill they can turn out every bit as good as a modern tooling as you are showing, cheers tony

That's looking great Theuns. These old kits are very satisfying, both to build and to see being built.

No Idea Colin, but I had another one I gave to a mate who was a Meck on them in the Saaf ....now he can struggle with it :-)
My days of building kits that fight me are over LOL

Hello,

I made one 2 years ago in the rescue version "Security civile" in french.

An old but great kit.
