    Hi Geoff
Well I reckon you're doing a cracking job taming this kit. You're gonna end up with a great model.

        Hello guys,

Well after another bout of filling and sanding followed by more sanding and filling I’m relatively satisfied with how it’s looking.
I still have a hint of a ghost seam but I’m going to live with it as there won’t be much plastic left if I do any more sanding :tears-of-joy:

I’ve got to reinstate a few of the lost panel lines and I have a set of raised rivet decals to play with so that’s the next job before I can finally get some paint on it.

Another update soon, thanks for looking :thumb2:

        Geoff.

          Great progress there Geoff.
Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

Some great weathering opportunities with a Sea Stallion Chris.

Some of those are proper filthy :smiling5:

While checking out Simon’s Sea Stallion build in the helicopter group build I had a sudden realisation that I have made a bit of a boob :confounded:

I’ve painted over the side windows of the cockpit when doing the primer coat.

The reason being when I was masking the clear parts the mask set didn’t (I think) have any masks or indication that this area should be masked.

The part was also very hazy with no framing to indicate a window should be there. I meant to double check my references but forgot .

I beginning to feel this build is cursed :fearful:.

I’ll have a go at scraping the primer off and see how it stands afterwards.

                    Geoff.

Scraping is a bit risky on a clear part. I'd use a cotton bud soaked in IPA.

Cheers Pete might be a better solution.

The clear part under the primer is very cloudy but fingers xed it might polish up ok once the paints removed.

                        Geoff.
