Sorry for the late replies guys...was celebrating my birthday with an off moment of plastic modeling.
I do that sometimes, reverse reading if the final build impresses me.
Yes I have seen that video, thanks for reminding me 'cos there is a good close up clip of the belly hook assembly which I can scratch from.

    Cheers,

                Thanks Guys.
I lost the wheel I had repaired so decided to mold them from putty squished in between reusable molds...

What I like about these new wheels is that they look bulkier than the plastic originals that are rather thin and flat.

                Cheers,

Look good Richard. I suppose the wheels are more chunky because the two halves of the mold were slightly apart.

                      Hi Guys,
Today I painted the wheels using the airbrush and circular template 3.5 hole.

Easy peesy, just place the template over the wheel after the tyre black has cured and squirt away with light grey. I might just go over with diluted silver to give it a metal look.
With the extra black I prepped the windows and will try to mask the thin rubber lining around it. These were quite prominent on the Belvedere.

If this works then I'll do the same for the cockpit windows. With still some extra paint left I laid a thin coat over the stark white plastic strips used in the modifications just to neutralise the contrast before priming.

                      Cheers,
                      Wabble

Sorry guys no updates as I had a long lunch break with my modelling buddies in Klang formerly Port Swettenham. They've got the best Bak Kut Teh(pork stewed in tea herbs) then after that took photos in the parking lot with one of the guys Willys Jeep which he bought and restored.

Ooh, a 1/1 scale jeep! Can't see any accuracy issues with that kit. Maybe a few build and fit problems tho...

Yup, a feel good thing for the tummy too. Inevitably someone will creep to the counter and pay the bill.

Yeah, apparently its a WW2 model with the fuel cap under the drivers seat. Those built after the war had the fuel cap moved to the side near the spade handle.

Sure Steve, if you can recall food here is not expensive. Have you tried Bak Kut Teh before? There are a few versions, this one was served in a claypot with vege, mushrooms and fried tofu. We even had braised pigs trotters. There were side dishes for those who like spare parts.
Large scale yes and only at RM30K.

                                Cheers,
