Cheers fellers but the gloss varnish is hiding the brush strokes , it was really hot yesterday and the paint went off very quick but I didn't fancy stripping it again and re scoring the panel lines so I just put a couple of clear coats on and hey presto from a distance and on photos she looks ok

I'm thinking this has something to do with me Being a proffessional painter by trade , I think I'm trying to bring my trade into modelling lol and that's why I don't think it's as good as it would be if it was a door lol

Nice one Alan. I know how much of a pain these Harriers can be to build. Yours is a clean example. The paint job doesn't look all that bad in those pictures. Your decals have snuggled down nicely as well with no apparent silvering, good job. You can help to avoid brush strokes by thinning your brush periodically. I do so every few brush 'loads', it helps to keep the paint smooth, and in thin coats, rather than trying to get full coverage in one pass. It also has the added advantage of keeping your brush clean.

Joe I always thin the paint and wipe a good bit off the brush as you say it's better to do more than one coat on this day however it was hot and started going off almost as soon as being acrylic time for a change I think
