        That's correct and I would use it for any highly polished Alclad finish.

        I'm not sure that a highly polished aluminium would be an appropriate finish for a WW2 fighter aircraft like the P-51, and in the particular case of the Mustang the wings were not natural metal. They were filled, sanded, undercoated and finally sprayed with an aluminium paint which is not the same thing at all.
