    PZL P7a 1/72 scale completed

Heres a neat little kit i picked up at Newark ,part of a 'four for ten pound 'deal from one of the traders. Its a simple enough kit by ZTS Mikro ,with neat details , not too complicated so i didnt bother with a build thread. The aircraft is the Polish PZL p7a fighter in romanian markings . The kit decals had very large areas of carrier film so i trimmed this a bit closer to the romanian crosses without realising there was a white outline to them and subsequently trimmed most of this off too ,so if the crosses look a bit dodgy its my fault not the decals!! cheers tony

Great looking model Tony. I've seen a few of these ZTS Mikro kits about, wondered what they were like. They have a range of rarer types from that era. An unusual wing for the time with the anhedral.

Magnificent build Tony!! Another of "your" special planes

The cables on the landing gear looks really good, and it's 1/72!!! Fantastic work!

      Cheers

Very nice Tony, kinda reminds me of a Lysander I bet that wing & undercarriage were tricky in 1/72

Really like it. I love these obscure kits and you've really brought the best out in this one Tony

I hate it when that happens to me. I should have checked some detail i was working on, not realizing it was a mistake, and then proceeding to do half the kit that way.

Still, turns out pretty well. The markings are intact enough that my eye doesn't wander back over them. I try to sit back and take in the whole plane, and that still works.

Tony, do you know anything about Mister Craft models? They also have a range of Polish and early war fighters. Very similar looking box tops.

Disregard my query, I just had a look on Scalemates and they are all related to the original kit by PZW siedlce. thought they looked similar.

Thanks for the great comments everyone , its a nice little cheap kit. Joe , ive seen the mistercraft kits and they look VERY similar to the mastercraft kits -even down to the style of the logo . The Mastercraft are usually re boxes of the old Czech made KP kits so can be a bit hit and miss , i dont know the providence of the mistercraft kits but I imagine theyre reboxes of eastern european kits from somewhere . The common thing about all these is that theyre not exactly Tamiya like to build but are very unusual subjects and with a bit of fettling can result in a nice model of something rarely seen , cheers tony
