    Eduard 1/48 Bf-109 E-4 Weekend Edition

After a few problems, namely losing the supercharger intake cover & getting a replacement from Eduard, having a book fall on it which broke the undercarriage & antenna mast, not to mention countless attempts to string an antenna cable (*@$#*!), my 1st Luftwaffe aircraft is finished!

Patrick that's a great job well done , that mottle effect is one of the best I've seen

Is this the E1 weekend edition ?

Thanks Alan, doing the camo was tough! It's the E-4 version, I've changed the thread title.

Another tasty Bf 109! Good stuff! These Eduard kits seem to be popular at the moment, not surprising if they can be turned out like this one

          Cheers

Great work Patrick, a very nice Emil. Is the first step toward the dark side and 1/32 aircraft?

            Cheers

Thanks Paul - I do have the Revell 1/32 He-162 'in progress' so that'll be something that I'll finish over Christmas (hopefully!)

Had problems then Patrick ? Get Kindle it will not do so much damage.

Very nice model. Interested to know how you get that semi transparent camouflage ?

Do not know how some of you blokes get through so many models and where you keep them.

A Kindle would definitely cause less damage!

I apply the paint via the AB at reasonable pressure (25-30 psi) & keep the paint thin, about 1:3 paint/thinner. Then it's a number of careful applications - sometimes it works, sometimes... it doesn't!

Yep! You must be proud of this beauty!!

The paintwork is magnificent, and the subtle weathering is simply perfect...given at the model, a great final result

                          Cheers
