Airfix 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109E 7 Tropical

the is the give away Airfix club 109 i got it from telford for about £8 it came with british and Japanese markings but I didn't fancy doing that I wanted to do the tropical version , I got a dogfight double a few months ago but it turned out to be old tool and not very detailed so ive decided to do the dogfight double but with new tool aircraft and as soon as I get a new tool spitfire or hurricane I'll complet the set

I said this is the 109 e7 but I could be wrong as I didn't have instructions for an e7 so I used picture references and I'm not sure if this tropical scheme existed and this is the only reference I could find but I think it looks cool so I copied it

this is the airfix quick build 109 it's like a Lego thing swmbo likes to build
The undercarriage is not fixed as I want it on the dogfight double stand and I've borrowed the base to just keep it looking ok

Well here's the pics as always comments criticism is welcome

I like it!!

Just one small comment...you may want to make the earth look a bit more natural with a powder or fine grit finish?? It looks too solid if you catch my drift?o_O

I guess there are product available, but I will leave that to the pro's to advise you on.

Beyond that, its great!

Gavin it's not stopping on the base that's just there for now , I will be putting it on a stand in flight with a spitfire

And yes I forgot to add the pilot

If you forgot to add the pilot why not keep it on the ground and have Neville Duke's Spit firing at it from the air?
