    1/72 Academy F-18c

Here is my F-18c in 1/72.

I used a mix of AM and kit decals, both worked very well.

Paint is Humbrol 129 on bottom and MM US ghost grey ontop.

Weathering is chalk pastel powder, alclad clearcoat to seal it all in.

Not a bad kit, the detail is nice but in my view it is overly complex in all the sub assemblies and there it allot of filling and sanding to do

Modern jets aren't my thing, but I can tell you've done a great job with panels, shading and weathering - very realistic.

Theuns, I'm going to say that all the extra filling and sanding and other work was well worth it, because this is superb. One of your best ones yet I reckon. A great build of the Hornet.

Looks great! I take my hat off to cats that build things with wings, especially ones that look this awesome.

I appreciate the weathering...subtle and smooth.

Very nice build! I am about to start mine in the following months, further complicating things with the use of PE, seamless intakes and scratchbuilding dropped flaps/slats
