Hasegawa 1/48............Fw 190 Aa-3 Turkish Air Force ("Türk Hava Kuvvetleri")

    Hi guys!!

Another part of my "Turkey-Project". It's a Fw 190 Aa-3 in 1/48 scale. The kit comes from Hasegawa, colors from Vallejo, Revell and Gunze.

In 1941 the German "Reich" and Turkey signed an economic agreement in which Turkey had to deliver iron and chrome ores and German Fw 190 fighters received in return. Between October 1942 and March 1943 72 Fw 190 were delivered in the ("Export" -) version Aa-3. The aircrafts were taken from the outgoing A-3 production. The difference between the "export"- and the regular version were mainly the absence of 20mm-guns in the wings roots (here were now mounted MG 17) and the FuG 25 for Identification friend or foe. The 190's came in service in 5th Air Regiment and stayed until the end of 1947. The camouflage on delivery was RLM 74, 75 and 76. In 1945 the machines were repainted in green or olive drab.

    Cheers

    Stefan
