Hi people, Iv just put the final finishing touches to my B-29, and i am well pleased the way its turned out, I rearly enjoyed this build, there was only a couple of small problems one being the cockpit assembly when I came to install it into the body of the plain the door way leading to the crawl tunnel was slightly to tall had to trim it down, and the other being the lack of weight at the nose end causing the plain to be tail heavy, I wish I had know about this before I assembled the body, I would have added a bit more weight, I was going to drill a small hole in the front wheel well and add some lead shot or chem fix to give it a bit more weight, as some of you kindly suggested, but there was not enough clearance to do this, I ended up takeing the lead of a fishing swim feeder and hammering it into shape so it fitted in the wheel well.
Hope you like the Old Battler,
By the way I went to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, yesterday great day out managed to get up close to the full size B-29 Hawg Wild see pictures. And yes had to visit the shop there and buy another model, Dogfight Doubles, Supermarine Spitfire Mk1a and Messerschmitt Bf109E-4
