Top marks for that one Theuns.

Nice to see a natural natural metal finish.

Theuns, Very nice metal work. Very realistic looking. Any hints to share with us?

There is really no secret or magic to a good metal look. Just have a very smooth clean base, I usually pollish with 3600 paper then shoot some gloss black enamel as a base coat.

Over this I spray 3 coats alclad airframe alluminium, mask of a few pannels then spray 3 more coats of the same alclad (not a different shade) to make the unmasked pannels lighter. Thus way there is a subtle difference in the tone of the pannels, not as "heavy" as using different shades of alclad.

I decal then seal it all with alclad clearcoat.....simple.

Look at my J-6 to see what I mean "shading" with only alrframe and pollished allu on different pannels.
