    F/A-18D VMFA(AW)-332 EA-00 - Academy 1/72

    Hello mates,

Let me share few pictures of my last model. This is the nice 1/72 F/A-18D from Academy. The kit is built almost out of the box with some details added to cockpit, seats and landing gears.

Marvellous work Francesco! You have such a skilled & subtle touch that your models look bigger than they really are - I'd have thought that was 1/48 scale!

Fantastic work. Superb detail Francesco. As Patrick said, hard to believe from the photos it's 1/72 scale. You've produced a beauty there.

Great work Francesco, amazing paintwork. I did the same kit but the result is not as nice as yours.

Magnificent paintwork, the shades are terrific

I was worried mate, when I read the tittle I was thinking it was a Secret Nuclear Code...

The planes names are not my strong point, between others....

Ah! I missed!! Great photos as well :P

Thank you mates, really appreciate your nice comments.

Just few notes. It should have been an unit of 533 Hawks, the one with the blue tail fin, but unfortunately the color of the decals was too light, so I had to strip color and decals and opt for this Moonlighter. In these pics the canopy is not glued, so you may see it in different position

Mike, I'm afraid I don't have too many good photos. For the first time I used my camera shooting in daylight but without tripod and to get some macro effect I had to use the 80-200 zoom two meters away from the model. BTW here are some more ...

Super work Francesco, your paint job and detailing has turned this kit into an A1 finish. You really must have insect vision.

                              Hello Mike,

Just disco verde that pictures are showman in low resolution (sorry, first time with Flickr).

I will try to fix ASAP, in the meanwhile you can directly access my flickr account https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/40808717@N06/sets/72157653378723588/
