    ACHTUNG SPITFIRE V TUNISIA 1943 1:72 scale

Hi all long time no post.

Since I last posted my situation at home has changed and I no longer Live with my little boy.

So most of the time when he now stay's at dads house this is what we have been up to.

This is a Pioneer 2 models 1:72 scale Supermarine Spitfire V tropical. We picked this kit up at last years Victory show.

The kit was mainly built buy myself and the paint job mainly done by my 8 year old. We already have a few spits in our collection and he wanted to finish this one with the US decals but sadly the ones provided with the kit fell apart as we tried to put them on so if anyone knows where we can gets some US decals for this kit and time cheep. Please let me know.

We used a few new things on this kit. first off which has mighty impressed me was Humbrol maskol which we found useful for masking the tiny canopy. The second thing we used was a Humbrol wash which I think we are going to need a bit of practice with lol.

Please have a look and feel free to comment. Also look out for our P47 in the next couple of days.

    Many thanks Paul

Welcome back Paul not the best of Spitfire kits but you've done a good job on it and some nice painting.

Sorry I can't help with the decals but I'm sure some one will help out some how

It's great that you and your son are doing this together as you are both building memories and experiences that will never be forgotten and will raise a smile in the future when you both look back on your kit bashing days. And what a great job your both doing tell your lad to keep up the great work.
