Thank you very much for the kind comments, though I suspect my rubbish photography may be helping the effect look better than it is !!!
Laurie, with regard to the rigging, its a bit of a story.
Up until recently, I was a child minder, and the kit was bought for me a while ago by a couple of brothers I looked after, and I decided to make it and give it back to them as a leaving present. Although the Lanc is on a stand, I figured it might get played with and\or hung up, so the rigging may well get in the way, if it lasted that long! So, I left it off. Not accurate, I agree, but practicality dictated otherwise on this occasion

have a rigging mending session periodically. Not my favourite job.
My comment was not meant in any way a criticism just a comment. I do think you have made
a superb job of a very big model and that is, as I have found, not an easy achievement.

First of all a most excellent build I love the props, they add a new dimension to the kit, could you possibly tell me how you made them and how you painted them as I would like to try this on one of my kits.

Hi Scott, this is the tutorial that I used to start with.
http://gregers.fr.yuku.com/topic/11537/Prop-blur-tutorial-Picture-heavy#.VVx5E9so8XA
However, once done, I wasn't really convinced with the look of the full disc, so using the template as a basic guide, just cut the clear sections out. The yellow tips were done with a disc cut to a slightly smaller size and used as a mask.
A couple of thing I' do differently. I used .25mm clear card for the props and think going a bit thinner might be better, at least in 1\72. That, or maybe thinning the edges slightly.
On a lot of pics, there's a definite pattern to the prop in the blur, which with a bit more airbrush practice should be achievable, along with fading the yellow tips a little towards the ends.
I hope that helps. I was surprised how easy it was, to be honest, and if I can do it, I reckon most people here can. Just give it a go

Hi there, apologies for not being around for a while, but thank you for the kind comments again.
John, I used Eduards canopy mask set. If I hadn't, I suspect I'd still be doing them!!!!
David, the props were home made, though a slight adaptation from a tutorial I found on the net. There should be a link to it earlier in this thread.
Thanks again.
