A real decent looking model, shame about the silvering on the decals.

I imagine it's difficult to get away from this when brush painting is that the case? Did you gloss it first before applying decals?

      Brush painting...? Looks very good!

I'm with Phil, is a shame the silvering on the decals, but the canopy work is excellent

It looks good, you have done a good job masking the canopy it does look a bit rougher lower down, did you thin the paint before brushing? I am not very good at brush painting so I can't offer much constructive criticism. Glossing before decals with a bigger brush is almost essential to get a great lay down. After that a Matt or semi gloss coat will give you the sheen you want and seal it all in.

I might add that I can't see clearly on my phone but the exhaust pipe finish could be more worn looking or rusty

Looks good for a brush painted model. An interesting aircraft that doesn't get modelled very often.Considering its size and top speed of only 265mph, it was quite a successful fighter. In the Mediterranean theatre at least. It made 9 FAA pilots aces. Not sure if that's silvering on the wing roundels .Veiwing it on my phone it looks like a thin white line to me.Which is the fault of the manufacturer.

i did gloss but must admit decals were very old and they are a bit out of register

noticed lower down, the camera really picks up mistakes, thought i had thinned it enough,

                          A nice and interesting build!

Looks like the designers couldn't make up their mind with regards to what it should have been, so they decided it will be everything.......

All that needs to be said has been said, but this is a very nice model of the Fulmar. Awesome work on the canopy framework, that must have taken days
