    Tamiya 1/48 P51B

This was a nice and easy build I did alongside my Boston. It didn't need any filler and all the parts fitted perfectly.Typical Tamiya. My wife bought me the kit a few Christmases ago.I don't like the kit colour scheme,so I used decals from a sheet in my decal stash. The painting guide with the decals only gave a side view. But I remembered Airfix doing a 1/72 kit in this scheme years ago.So I found a copy of the instructions for that kit on the Internet and used them as a painting guide. The markings are for an aircraft flown by Lieutenant Henry Brown of the 355th fighter group based at Steeple Morden. In contrast to the Boston I didn't do any weathering on this one.

That's a superb rendition of 'Hun Hunter' Dave. Great build, clean and crisp.

nice P-51. I like the variety in the variants- too many people do the P-51D

Nice build, and as others have said it is nice to see a mustang in something apart from the metal finish.
