Magnificent paintwork!!!
Smooth job on the panel lines. I love the look on the final colour! Is a satin varnish, oil wash..? o_O
Cheers
Polux
Hi Polux I used Johnsons Klear floor polish and vallejo umber wash.

Great job John , the paintwork is excellent. Looks good on the base too , nice touch . Sooner you than me doing a full re scribe, its something ive never really got the hang of , I always go off the lines and cant do curves or corners to save my life! , cheers tony
I too slip occasionally Tony But I'm slowly getting better.
Big thanks to everyone for all your kind words and encouragement it's greatly appreciated cheers John
Tony I use Dymo tape placed along the line to take. Then with the scriber
firmly but gently scribe to the tape but not pushing against it with any pressure.
Just a scratch to begin until a small groove is made continue with many light passes.
Even if you stray the damage is very limited.
Just lean against the tape edge. Also used lining tape on corners but this has a softish edge
so real care is needed.
Apologies for butting in John.
Laurie
No probs knowledge is power Laurie.
I didn't use tape as Laurie does just a combination of three scribers tamiya trumpeter and bare metal foil all had there uses in equal amounts and of course lots of patience. My model kits in the main are not at the high end of the market in quality or price so a re scribe on some is a necessity. The practice I'm getting is starting to pay off as I'm not slipping or bleeding as much as I did on my first attempt.
