Airfix 1/72 Hawker Hurricane Mk I (Starter Set version)

This came together really well as people have now come to expect from the new Airfix kits. Was built straight out of the box, apart from a few extra colours (prop tips, wheel wells etc) and some minor detailing with a pin wash and so on. Decided not to do too much weathering. This was an Aldi £5 deal from some time ago that I abandoned for ages and picked up again at the start of the week to clear the decks a bit. Quite pleased with it - though bit of a pain to pose with the canopy open as needed a bit of hacking to remove part of the canopy runner that's visible when it's all buttoned up.

(May have slightly 'shopped the background on the last one there...!)

I like this a lot - you can't have too many Hurricanes!

I must dig mine out of the half-completed cupboard of lost mojo

As dougie said the 3rd pic is a real nice angle which I will have to remember as I have airfixs new 1/48 in the stash which looks a real cracker.

                Good job!

Like this a lot and think the hurricane has always had bad deal when it comes to the Battle of Britain. More enemy aircraft were shot down with this true workhorse big it's always the spit that gets the limelight, and stens the show.

We can't change what is though.

Well done on the hurricane and photo shoot is very done showing off her curves

This is really nice. The paint work looks very good. As for 'shopping' the sky, fair enough, I'm not seeing too much blue sky around here lately.
