HobbyBoss 1/48: Me 262 A-1a/U3

Hi guys!!


Today I'll show you my new Me 262 A-1a / U3. The kit comes from Hobby Boss and is really great.


The version "U3" was a reconnaissance aircraft, which was derived from the A-1a "Schwalbe" (Swallow). Unlike the fighter version, the U3 had only the lower machine guns (30mm MK108) mounted in the fuselage. In the upper part of the fuselage were cameras installed.

Monica, for the camouflage scheme I brushed the completely upper side in RLM 83. Next, the individual spots were masked with the help of "Mask Paint" (which is similar to Maskol). Then RLM 82 was painted over it, and after drying the "Mask Paint" were simply removed again.
