    Tamiya 1:32 Spitfire Mk IXc

So, it's finished (ah, rear view mirror is missing) OK, it's nearly finished.

The 'web' is full of reviews for this kit, all of which are extremely positive and with good reason. The engineering of this kit is something quite different. Yes it's probably the most expensive kit around, but probably worth it (only the individual can decide if it was worth the money) The engine alone is a kit by itself. The only slightly negative comment I would make is the decals are a bit too thick, but that really is a minor point.

    Anyway, the pictures:

The engine cowlings have been prepared as well, but the model will be on display without them on. I have tried them in place, and they do fit. A real testament to Tamiya's engineering.

    Any questions, comments welcomed.

Is there any way that this can be rated as an "out of this world build"?

What a stunning model and stunning pics and even more stunning modelling. You have done brilliant unadulterated justice to the Spitfire, your modelling skills are exemplary. I salute you sir.

Also Colin, Johnny Johnson I'm sure is looking on with pride in a superb representation of his aircraft.

Everytime I look at the pics I see more things I like. The tyre tracks give previous movement to the scene as though left rudder was applied just before rolling to a stop. Bloody brilliant mate. Faultless.

However good the Tamiya kit, your build of it is even better. Cracking build throughout mate

          Cheers Andrew
