    Fiat cr32 - SMER 1/48

Here is the SMER 1/48 fiat cr32 , finished in 4th stormo markings as part of the sig group build -then and now aircraft-. This is a very old mould ,possibly the 1/50 artiplast kit re-issued by SMER but its not too bad and it only cost me ยฃ4 a couple of years ago.For build details see the thread http://www.scale-models.co.uk/then-now-aircraft/12768-then-now-4th-stormo-regia-aeronautica-fiat-cr32-typhoon.html comments /criticisms welcome , cheers tony

    Hi Tony

That looks really nice, you really do know how to get the best out of the older kits.

The rigging looks cool and the pilot is also spot on. Fabulous build of a more obscure subject.

    Cheers

    Paul

Cheers andy, as for the markings they are the symbol of the italian fascist regime , and represent 'fasces' a traditional symbol of power in italy going back to roman times, i think it was a bundle of sticks with an axe bound in the middle . Google 'Fasces' and see what comes up (careful with the spelling though!!!!!LOL) There you go this forum is educational too!!! cheers mate , tony

Said it in the Build but I will say it here too!

                      Super build Tony. *****

Andy, some one will come with the correct/official name but I believe that the things you refer to are choppers or hatchets. I'm not sure how it hangs together, I just remember having read it some place many years ago.

                      Nice one Tony.
