    SAAF T-6

Here is my Academy 1/72 T-6 Harvard in the colours of the full size that is based at the airfield I work.

It is alclad airframe alluminium over gloss black and HU11 silver on the fabric areas. The SAAF decals are from a local supplier.

I had to mask off the extra pieces of the canopy's glazing as the kit has the less

    framing sections.

That is a cracking job Theuns. I'm always in awe of people who can build Aircraft, and particularly in small scale. Superbly finished.

Nice Harvard, does laying down the gloss black really make the difference when it comes to a high shine like everyone says? Also do you buff your alclad when looking for a nmf?

        Cheers

It makes all the difference in the world. The black acts like the backing of a mirror.

No the alclad goes on as you see it, no bufing needed.

Really nice, Theuns, and a great idea for the colour scheme. The NMF looks great - I love the differentiation between metal and fabric.
