Airfix 1/144 Vanguard + 26 Decals

Hi All


Well, 2 in 2 days, I imagine it'll be a little while before the next one is complete, I would say this is almost certainly the last for 2015.


Anyhow, it's the Airfix 1/144 vanguard, filled & sanded and painted to represent a merchantman G-APET, in the interim British Airways / BEA livery that I saw the real aircraft wearing in 1979 - God, that makes me old !!


Anyhow, I was a little caught out by how translucent the 26 decals were. Still, I have to say, I'm happy with how it's turned out.

Thanks for the comments, glad you like it. It's an old kit, but it does still go together pretty well, yes there's some filling & sanding, not least because I wanted to build the freighter version, and it captures the look of the vanguard.
