    Avro Shackleton MR.2

Hi people just completed my latest project a new kit I think from Airfix, 1:72 Avro Shackleton MR.2, the markings are for No 224 Squadron RAF North Front, Gibraltar Sep 1967. The aircraft was used first for maritime patrol, and later as the RAF`s airborne early warning. Powered by four Rolls Royce Griffon engines driving contra rotating propellers, the Shackleton was a noisy machine earning its self a nickname of the "Growler" but still proved to be a popular machine with its crew. The kit went together well no real problems, apart from me snapping the front cannons of, managed to repair, the decal sheet has all the larger decals numbered for positioning on the plain , but the smaller decals are not numbered on the decal drawing witch was a bit of a pain. Anyway what do you think, cheers Colin

Colin, I'm sure this is a relatively new tool as you said.

You've done a cracking job mate, What's the finished measurements on that one?

Well done it looks really nice. I was all up for getting one of these, as a bit of a fan of Airfix, but to my shame, have opted for the new tool Revell. I hope it looks as good as yours Colin.
