    1/48 Airfix Seafire Fr47

Hi all. Apologies for the absence, but I have kept my hand in a little

So, here's the latest finished build, the lovely Airfix Seafire, taxing out to start a long range recce mission.

Apart from the exhaust stacks, its OOB, painted with Tamiya paints. I'm hoping to do a small base for it at some point, but I'm calling it done for now.

    Hope you enjoy, cheers, Neil

That really is an excellent build Neil! You've done the contra-rotating props brilliantly the base you're planning will be the final piece to add to the sense of action

        Cheers

Very nicely done Neil. This is one of Airfix's best kits I think.

The way you have posed this with the engine running and wings moving to the spread position is a bit more interesting to the eye.

Thanks for the kind comments. It was a pretty straight forward build. I had a bit of filling to do on the upper wing roots and on the windscreen, but nothing out of the ordinary. If you get an older 2nd hand kit, I'd budget for some new decals, but the new ones are lovely.

                  Cheers, Neil

                            Nice clean build

I have this one in my stash and you e really done it justice. Never enough spitfires in the world even when they are the offspring from the spitfire.

Lovely build and very clean. I also like the contra rotating props you've done, so realistic looking.Realynloke the weathering too and full action with the wing fold........ A true great build

                            Well done

                            Robert
