Hi guys!!
First I want to wish you a happy new year. In 2016 all the best, good luck, health and a lot of great models.
My model represents the "Red 3", piloted by Capt. Waldemar Wübke, from the "Platzschutzstaffel" of JV44. To cover the Me 262 jetfighters during takeoff and landing against Allied fighter, parts of JG 52 and 54 were postponed to protect the Turbos. The Doras operated from Ainring (upper Bavaria) and Munich Riem. The flashy underbody painting was a sign for the own flak to identify the Doras as friend. This painting was it that Platzschutzstaffel called "Parrot Squadron" after the war.
Cheers
Stefan
